San Martín de Frómista church is located on the Camino de Santiago, and was built in the second half of the eleventh century as part of the San Martin Monastery, now disappeared. The first reports about this church are dating from 1066, when construction had already begun. Its style is related to the Romanesque Palencia area, as well as the Cathedral of Jaca, some of whose stonemasons might work also in this building.
The church of Saints Justo and Pastor in Olleros de Pisuerga is considered as the great rock cathedral in the area. The church is carved into the rock of a giant sandstone promontory and the view from the outside is spectacular.
